How to Install HPLaserjet 1015 to Windows 7

Cannot Install HP Laser jet 1010 Series on Win7? Well, that is because incompatibility issue.

Installing HPLaserjet 1010 Printer Series is a pain, its own driver doesn't work. Even when you download its driver from HP website. However there's a solution for this we can use the driver of HP Laserjet 3055
PCL5 to make this work. Here's How.

Firstly, Connect your HP 1010/1012/1015 printer USB/LPT port to your PC and power it up.

1. Go to> Control Panel > Devices and Printers
2. Click add printer and select add a local printer
3. On use existing port select LPT1 or  DOT4_001 (Generic IEEE 1284.4 printing support) then click Next
4. On manufacturer click HP, On printers scroll down and select HP Laserjet 3055 PCL5
5. Click Next
6. Select use the driver that is currently installed then click Next
7. On printer name type HP Laserjet 1010 series to identify that this printer driver is for that series.
8. Click Next and Next then Finish.
