HOW TO: Steps to release cargo in Manila Airport. (Ninoy Aquino International Airport)

If you are an OFWor tourist and you are planning to send cargo to your family here in the Philippines through Air cargo. You need to know the steps on how to pick up your cargo in manila airport, pass customs clearance and what to be paid. This procedure may apply for personal baggage (personal effect) and excess baggage.

STEP 1: Get the original copy of the Bill of lading (Airway Bill) from the Airline office, or in Document Handling unit of the airline.

STEP 2: Proceed to CASH DIVISION of the  Bureau of Customs Ninoy Aquino International Airport Main Building and Buy BOC FORM 177 Gate pass / Entry Form for the amount of 325php. Then fill up the entry form.

STEP 3: Proceed to the Warehouse where your cargo is located then go to Custom Legal Division to notarized your document by the duty lawyer of the day.

STEP 4: Proceed to Customs Entry Processing Unit (EPU) to file your entry, (custom officer verify your entry for completeness of documents.)

STEP 5: Proceed to Custom Public Assistance Unit (PAU) the custom officer going to examine and appraise your goods if there's any duties and taxes to be paid.

STEP 6: Proceed to Custom Cash Division(Warehouse office) to pay duties and taxes if there's any.

STEP 7: Proceed to OLRS(On-line release system) OLRS officer will issue gate pass form.

STEP 8: Proceed to the warehouse billing section to pay storage charges.

STEP 9: Proceed to Custom Wharfinger Office.

STEP 10: Then present your documents to the gate keeper for final release of your cargo.

What to be paid.

  • BOC Form 177 Gate pass / Entry Form - You can buy this at customs cash division for the amount of 325 pesos
  • Duties and Taxes - Depends if your cargo is dutiable.
  • Storage FEE - Depends how many days your cargo stored in the warehouse.
